Fairbanks Soccer Club hosts final round of home matches on August 6th versus AK Timbers and AK Thorns

The Fairbanks Soccer Club Men’s team will play their fifth and final home game against AK Timbers on Saturday, August 6th at 4 p.m. against AK Timbers. This will be a rematch of a hard-fought game in Anchorage on June 26th which saw Timbers pull out a 2-0 win. The Men’s team currently sits third in the standings on 12 points with a 4-0-5 record and will seek to finish the season strongly.

The Fairbanks Soccer Club Women’s team will look to wrap up their first ever UPSL Women Alaska Division championship on Saturday, August 6th at 6:30 p.m. against AK Thorns! In the reverse fixture in Anchorage, the Women’s team beat Thorns 4-2 in a game that featured the first ever hat-trick in Women’s team history, notched by leading scorer Desi Dutra, and a goal by Hannah Ross. The Women’s team currently sits second in the standings on 12 points with a 4-0-1 record and can win their first ever championship with a win on Saturday.

The Fairbanks Soccer Club men’s team has captured its first ever UPSL Last Frontier Division championship! The men’s team finished the 2021 season tied for first on points with Pioneer United but with a better goal differential, more goals for, less goals against, and a head-to-head advantage. Congratulations to our men’s team players and coaches for all of their efforts this season, which culminated with a 6-2 win over Pioneer United on our last home game of the season to capture the championship!
